Acer Aspire S7 Review
New elegant windows 8 Ultrabook comes from Acer, Acer Aspire S7 is The slim, premium-feeling Acer Aspire S7 was one of the very first Windows 8 ultrabook  with spent a significant amount of time with in the weeks before the official release of Windows 8.

This ultrabook looked and felt identical to the preproduction sample from October 2012. Like many of the notebook and convertible notebook  hybrids we've reviewed recently, the Aspire S7 is a new-from-the-ground-up ultrabook, rather than an existing Windows 7 product updated with new software. The S7 is also one of the thinnest, slickest-looking ultrabooks I've seen, highlighted by a white minimalist chassis and a lid covered with Gorilla Glass (much like the HP Envy Spectre). Inside is an Intel Core i7 CPU and something that has already become almost commonplace in Windows 8 notebook : a touch screen, built into a 13.3-inch 1,920x1,080-pixel display.

Radically thin, supremely strong, scratch resistant and easy to clean: White Gorilla® Glass 2 makes the beauty of the 13.3" Aspire S7 Series gleam at an ultra-thin 11.9 mm. The 11.6" model, with its sleek aluminum unibody, is just 12.2 mm slim. Either Ultrabook™ gives you the freedom to go anywhere, carefree and looking fabulous.

Available in white Gorilla® Glass 2 or sleek aluminum, the Aspire S7 Series Ultrabook™ is pretty and smart. Its Full HD touch display beckons you to be social, get stuff done and have fun. The keyboard auto-illuminates.1 to the perfect glow for comfortable use in dim settings, while Acer TwinAir cooling makes this Ultrabook™ a pleasure to hold.

Performance
While the entry-level S7 comes with a Core i5 processor, our upgraded review unit arrived with a Core i7-3517. This processor proved quick in our testing, reaching a score of 44.1 GOPS in SiSoft Sandra’s Processor Arithmetic test, and a score of 7,622 in 7-Zip. Both of these numbers are about 20 percent better than the average Ultrabook.
Thanks to the combination of a powerful processor and a fast solid-state drive, excellent performance continued into PCMark 7 where the laptop scored 4,782. In regular use, the benchmark figures are reflected by fast, smooth performance. Programs load almost instantly, and even demanding apps can complete tasks quickly.
